Change in Cross Country Championship Results

After careful review of the film footage and action pictures from the 2010 USCAA Women’s Cross Country 6k Championship race it has been determined by the tournament host that there has been a slight error in scoring.

After a fall at the finish line a bunch-up resulted in two runner’s numbers being mixed up.  The tournament host was notified of the issue in scoring and investigated the scenario.  After careful review it was determined that Rebecca Kinsey from Penn State Worthington – Scranton crossed the finish line in 21st place, ahead of Caitly Tinsley from St. Mary-of-the-Wood’s College who finished in the 22nd position.

After making the appropriate change, Penn State Worthington – Scranton was tied with SUNY ESF in second place in the total team standings with 67 points.  All teams have been notified of the change and the Director’s Cup standings will reflect the update in scoring.

The USCAA would like to congratulate SUNY ESF and Penn State Worthington – Scranton for their second place finish at the 2010 USCAA Women’s Cross Country National Championship.
