2025 USCAA Directors Cup Final Standings
PITTSBURGH, PA – After an exciting spring sports season, the USCAA has updated the Director’s Cup standings for the 2024-2025 season. The Director’s Cup was established to recognize member institutions that excel in a wide range of men’s and women’s sports for which the USCAA offers championships. The Cup sets out to highlight the efforts of an athletic program that is diverse in its sport offerings and who competes for national championships on a consistent basis.
The standings consist of results from the 2024 USCAA Golf, Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country, and 2025 Basketball, Track & Field, Softball and Baseball National Championships in addition to points awarded for 2024 National Convention attendance and current sport offerings.
Finishing in first place, with 555 points, is Johnson & Wales Charlotte. The wildcats showed strong outings in cross county, golf, men's & women's soccer, and women's basketball. Ultimately, their participation in Track & Field, gave them the edge over the second place finishers.
Finishing in second place with 536.5 points, after leading all year, is Lyon College. The Scots started off the year with a strong outing at the Penn State Blue Course, finishing first overall in the Men’s division earning 100 points. Picking up points for Lyon at Fall Championship Week were the women’s cross country team, as well as the volleyball team, who finished runners up. The men’s soccer team also won the Men’s Dl Soccer Championship. Lyon College had an impressive showing at the Basketball National Championships as their men's team tied for third place.
Rounding out the top three schools is SUNY ESF. The Mighty Oaks jumped into the top three after claiming National Titles in both Women's and Men's Track & Field this spring. This was in addition to their Women's and Men's Cross Country National Titles this past fall.
