USCAA Director's Cup Standings After Fall Championships
PITTSBURGH, PA – After an exciting fall sports season, the USCAA has updated the Director’s Cup standings for the 2024-2025 season. The Director’s Cup was established to recognize member institutions that excel in a wide range of men’s and women’s sports for which the USCAA offers championships. The Cup sets out to highlight the efforts of an athletic program that is diverse in its sport offerings and who competes for national championships on a consistent basis.
The standings consist of results from the 2024 USCAA Golf, Volleyball, Soccer, and Cross Country championships, in addition to points awarded for 2024 National Convention attendance and current sport offerings.
Sitting in first place with 465 points is Lyon College. The Scots started off the year with a strong outing at the Penn State Blue Course, finishing first overall in the Men’s division earning 100 points. Picking up points for Lyon during Fall Championships were the men’s and women’s cross country teams, volleyball and men’s soccer, who won the Men’s Dl Soccer Championship.
Right behind them in second place is Johnson & Wales - Charlotte with 367.5 points. The Wildcats captured their first points at this year’s Golf championships in State College Pennsylvania, where they took home second place. Johnson & Wales had a strong Fall Championship outing, picking up points with men's cross country and men's & women's soccer.
Rounding out the top three schools is SUNY ESF with 324 points. The Mighty Oaks had an impressive showing this fall at the Cross Country Invitational, with both the Men’s and Women’s teams placing first again for an accumulative of 200 points. In addition, the men’s golf team picked up Director’s Cup points for the Mighty Oaks as well.
Next up are the Basketball Small College National Championships in Buffalo, New York March 10th-15th, 2025. The final Director’s Cup standings will be determined following the Small College World Series and the winner will be announced at the 2025 USCAA National Convention in Portland, Maine.
