USCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Council
In January 2021 the inaugural National Student-Athlete Advisory Council was founded with the mission to enhance the student-athlete experience by giving students a voice at the national level, fostering opportunity, and promoting positive student-athlete image.
Their main objectives include:
- Creating a voice for student-athletes at the national level.
- Enhancing student engagement through leadership opportunities at the national level.
- Enhancing the student experience at USCAA National Events
- Implementing volunteer opportunities for student-athletes that are participating in championship events
- Reconfiguring the Championship Banquets
- Enhancing the student experience at USCAA National Events
- Developing a program aimed at building leadership skills in student-athletes
- Developing a program aimed at promoting student athlete graduation
- Recommending, reviewing, and providing feedback to the National Office and Board of Directors on legislation, policy, experience, and other areas of interest.
- Promoting positive student-athlete image.
The National Council is comprised of current and former student-athletes from USCAA member institutions, representing each of the USCAA’s National Championship Sports. Additionally, the council will be advised by a National Office representative.
