Mont Alto drops non-conference contest to Central Penn 4-1

Nathaniel Edey took a River Terry pass and found the back of the net for his second collegiate goal on Tuesday afternoon as Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer fell to 1-7-1 on the season with a non-conference loss to Central Penn 4-1. 

 

Edey's tally came at the 11 minute mark of the first half and would be all the offense for Penn State Mont Alto in the game. Central Penn scored four unanswered goals, all coming following halftime.

 

Central Penn's Jaegar James scored his first of two goals in the contest during the 65th minute. Jake Philippe put the Knights in the lead with his goal in the 71st minute. James scored his second goal in the 84th minute and Amson Charleston added an insurance goal with three minutes remaining in the game.

 

Central Penn dominated the game in shots on goal with a 28-16 advantage and an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks, including seven in the second half. 

 

Scott Stanko Jr. allowed four goals and recorded seven saves on his 11 shots on goal faced. Bryce Kylor (4) and River Terry (3) led the Penn State Mont Alto offense in shots on goal.
