Balanced Effort Leads to Convincing 102-62 Season-Opening Win
BUFFALO, NY - Five players scored in double-figures as the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats made things look easy on Saturday, cruising to a 102-62 win over Andrews University in the Bobcat Kickoff Classic. Senior guard and Vaden Athletic Conference Preseason Conference Player of the Year led the team with 17 points as Buffalo shot over 50 percent from the floor and 53 percent from three.
BUFFALO, NY - Five players scored in double-figures as the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats made things look easy on Saturday, cruising to a 102-62 win over Andrews University in the Bobcat Kickoff Classic. Senior guard and Vaden Athletic Conference Preseason Conference Player of the Year led the team with 17 points as Buffalo shot over 50 percent from the floor and 53 percent from three.
"We take no games lightly and starting off with a win is what we expect," Head Coach Damone Brown said. "Being so close last year, we know there we will be getting everyone's best shot each night we play. We need to be ready, composed, and eager to meet each game and the challenges they possess with the utmost preparedness. We were able to do that tonight."
Buffalo jumped out to a 19-point halftime lead and never looked back. The scored 55 in the second half to run away with the game and improve to 5-0 all-time in season openers. Little added six assists, five steals, and four rebounds to go along with his 17 points. Junior Kalon Kimble scored 12, while Sam Dorissaint, Joshua Foote, and Armonee Felder all scored 10 apiece. Junior Davon Ware finished with nine points and a game-high eight assists. He ranked second nationally in assists per game last year, dishing out 5.7 per contest.
Buffalo held Andrews to under 43 percent shooting and 22 percent from three. They forced 36 turnovers, leading to 44 points. They also had 32 assists on 40 made baskets.
The Bobcats also got a healthy contribution from their bench. They outscored that of the Cardinals 44-29 with Felder's 10 leading the way. Freshmen Nas West and DaShaun Brown each had seven points, while DJ Brown chipped in six.

The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 6th for the final game of Bobcat Kickoff Classic against Central Penn College. Tip is set for 6 p.m. inside The Park School of Buffalo.
