Mustangs Hold on Against Bridgton Academy

Bridgton, ME - A two-run single by Garren Post in the top of the first inning led to four runs and all the offense the Mustangs needed in a 4-2 win against Bridgton Academy on Thursday afternoon. The Mustangs complete the fall sweep of Bridgton Academy for the first time in school history.

Zach Mann and Colton Frisbie had two hits each in the win. Derek Roman lived on the edge on the mound escaping several jams in four innings of work. Bridgton Academy left 11 runners on base. Jack Cote pitched the last three innings to record the save.

"It wasnt exactly pretty, but it's a win," said Head Coach Ryan Palmer, "Our pitchers pitched out of several jams and that was nice to see. Bridgton is a very good team who are very well coached."

The Mustangs have the Yankee Conference Fall Classic this weekend. They play NHTI on Saturday at 1:00 at Goodall Park in Sanford. With a win, they will move on to play the SM/YCCC winner at 4:00.
