Crusaders Victorious Over Lions 2-1 in Home Game

Mont Alto, PA – Christendom College Men's Soccer Team defeated Penn State Mont Alto 2-1 in their away game on Thursday.

Both the Crusaders and the Lions came out aggressively in the first half, but within the first 10 minutes the Lions took the lead 1-0. The game remained a tough match, and soon after the Crusaders were able to tie the match with an impressive goal. Christendom's goal was scored by Joe Madigan (Senior/Lawrence, NJ). The Crusaders, boosted by the momentum of their goal, were able to take their first lead of the game before the end of the half. The Crusader's second goal was scored by Christendom's Ryan Welch (Freshman/Atlanta, GA) assisted by Luke Luckey (Sophomore/Front Royal, VA).

With the second half came new intensity to the game. Regardless of aggression from the Lions in this half, the Crusaders continued to hold their lead until the end of the game. With a total of 14 shots in the game, the Crusaders were victorious over the Lions 2-1.
