Seawolves Pick Up Home Win Over Bristol

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team defeated the Bay Hawks from Bristol Community College 4-2 in non-conference action on Monday, Oct. 10.

The Seawolves put away three goals in the first half, highlighted by first-years Griffin Anderson (Waterville, Maine), Alberto Kissaka (Biddeford, Maine), and Larrson Lunt (Gardiner, Maine)—all of which were assisted by three different players.

The Bay Hawks brought the game to within one score, with goals courtesy of Colin Pereira and Karim Hilmy less than 10 minutes apart late in the second half. SMCC forward Eriksen Shea (Freeport, Maine) put the game out of reach with his fifth cap of the season inside the 86th minute.

First-year goal keeper Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) tallied seven saves as the Seawolves out-shot the opposition 19-15.

SMCC improves to 3-7-2 overall and will host the rival Mustangs from Central Maine Community College in a conference finale on Thursday, Oct. 13. Kickoff at Wainwright is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
