Paul Smith's, NY - The Mustangs were able to carry on their road momentum when they played Paul Smith's College in New York on Saturday. CMCC scored first when co-captain Alexander Thompson fired home a direct free-kick from about 23 yards. Thompson was also responsible for the second goal when he neatly dribbled through a couple Paul Smith's defenders and calmly put a hard shot on the ground past the goalkeeper.
The Bobcats wouldn't be so easy and with just 14-seconds left before halftime they were awarded a penalty kick which they converted to a goal. The score at halftime 2-1 in favor of CMCC.
The second half saw a grueling battle in the middle third of the field and it wasn't until about 25 minutes in when Garrett Addison provided a cross from deep in the corner which Isaac Austin fired into the top left corner. That lead stood and the match ended 3-1 in favor of CMCC.
The Mustangs next face the Alumni in a friendly match Monday evening at 7:00pm.
