VB splits 1-1 in Tri-match

Lemont Furnace, PA- Volleyball had a long day Saturday as they looked to complete a tri-match with Penn State New Kensington and UC Clermont.

Fayette Volleyball started their day out strong against conference competitor, Penn State New Kensington Saturday with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-19, 25-15)

Pasepa Driso-Buwawa had a strong showing for Fayette with a career high of 26 digs, Tyannah Eddings trailed right behind Buwawa with 19 digs.

Fayette's second match was against the defending USCAA National Champions, UCC. UC Clermont showed their accomplishments in their play by sweeping Fayette 3-0 (25-19,25-20,25-18).

Pasepa and Bella Buwawa led the team with 8 kills each.

Joel Wingard spoke about the tri-match, "I thought our seniors had a good day and it was good to see them take that step and lead this team."
