CONCORD, N.H. – The Seawolves (3-0) visited the Lynx (0-2) for a Sunday afternoon doubleheader and came away with a sweep behind a pair of double-digit scoring outings.

Sophomore Derek Hoh (Methuen, Mass.) scored on a wild pitch in the first to put SMCC on the board before starting a five-run inning with an RBI single in the second; he would finish 3-4 with four runs scored, two walks, a stolen base and an RBI in game one. Sophomore Justin Colon (Aguada, Puerto Rico) collected a two-run double while first-year Chris Magzag (Southington, Conn.) roped a two-run single. First-year Luke Wearne's (Ellington, Conn.) RBI double in the sixth put the Seawolves up by 11 runs and ended game one in six innings. Sophomore Liam Jann (Philadelphia, Pa.) tallied his first win of the year on the mound, pitching four innings and allowing one run on three hits while walking one and striking out five. First-year Gabe Aucoin (Bath, Maine) closed the game out with two perfect innings of relief.

The Seawolves offense wasn't quite as potent in the early innings of game two, with first-year Ryan Thurber (South Portland, Maine) scoring on a wild pitch in the second to open it up and Colon, Hoh, sophomore Sam Keblinsky (Mount Desert Island, Maine) and Magzag each tallying an RBI over the next three innings to put SMCC up 5-0. Hoh, Keblinsky and Magzag would all finish game two with two RBI as the Seawolves poured it on in the seventh inning to score double-digit runs and take home a victory for the second time in the day. First-year Thomas Knott (Winterport, Maine) pitched five and ⅓ shutout innings to earn the win, allowing two hits and tallying four strikeouts.

Coach's Thoughts:

"I thought we played very well – our pitching was consistent in both games and our hitters were giving them run support. We appreciate NHTI for hosting us today and we're looking forward to getting back out on the field again." – Head Coach Nic Lops

Seawolves Stars of the Day:

Justin Colon: Two doubles, three RBI

Derek Hoh: Four hits, three RBI, six runs scored
