Cold Shooting Dooms Brandywine At Cairn

LANGHORNE, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine was limited to 28 percent shooting by Cairn University as the Highlanders posted a 94-49 victory over the Lions' men's basketball team on Thursday night.

Cairn held Brandywine to seven made field goals and 2-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc during the opening half. The Highlanders built a 40-21 edge through 20 minutes and used 22-for-37 shooting during the second period to hold off the Lions.

Bryce Barrouk (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) knocked down a trio of three-pointers and led Brandywine with 18 points. He also tallied five rebounds and four assists, while Colin Hockenbrock (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) added eight points, a team-high six boards, three assists and a pair of blocked shots.

Dillon Jones (Wilmington, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) produced four rebounds and block two shots and Devon Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) recorded five points.

Brandywine (1-3, 0-1 PSUAC) returns to conference play Saturday at Penn State Lehigh Valley at 8:00 PM.
