Mustangs Sweep Seawolves

Portland, ME - The CM men's soccer team completed home and away wins against local rivals SMCC. The Mustangs travelled to Portland on Oct 13th winning their penultimate game of the season 5-2.

The Seawolves started the brightest taking an early lead in the 5th minute when Dylan Weyeneth scored off of a long clearance from Laszio Dorogi. The Mustangs pulled the game level when Mosses Lumu played Ivan Domingues in for his 5th goal of the season. 

The Mustangs took the lead on the 51st as Lumu pounced on a saved header to score his second goal in 2 games. The Seawolves pulled the game level as William Perry won a CMCC goal kick before dispatching a low shot to the right of goalkeeper Cloutier.  This goal would ignite the Mustangs offense as they began to impart their quick and fluid play. A flurry of 3 goals in 4 minutes put the game far out of reach of the Seawolves.

Bassa scored on the 58th minute from a through ball by Ivan Domingues. On the 61st minute of the season Ivan Dombgues latched on to a long through ball by Raimundo Lubota to score his second of the day and his 6th of the season. Abdifatah Yussuf rounded out the scoring from Zoubeyr Abdillahi's assist.

The Mustangs sit atop the conference standings with a return to action this Saturday when they travel to Hampshire college.
