Men’s Soccer picks up first conference win

Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer picked up its first conference victory on Thursday evening, defeating Penn State York 4-2. River Terry extended his goal streak to three straight games by netting the first two Mont Alto goals in the first half. 

Terry converted on a cross from Thomas Lane just over a minute in to put Mont Alto on the board early. He later converted on a pass from Kynn Loss in the 30th minute of action. Brett Kauffman finished a set up from Terry a few minutes later to give Penn State Mont Alto it's third goal of the first half. Penn State York would battle back with a goal scored by Kian Seifi. Penn State Mont Alto led 3-1 going into halftime.

Bryce Kylor found the back of the net in the 75th minute to give Mont Alto a 4-1 advantage. Seifi recorded another goal late in the second half to cut the deficit to 4-2. 


Penn State Mont Alto won the shots on goal battle 12-8 and had a huge advantage in corner kicks with 12 compared to Penn State York having only three. 


Scott Stanko Jr. saved 11 of his 13 shots faced in the contest. Penn State York's Jacob Mourose stopped eight of his 12 shot attempts faced.


Kylor and Terry were the leaders in shots on target with three a piece. Thomas Oberholzer and Brett Kauffman each had two.
