Vaughn tallies six kills in non-conference loss to Gettysburg

Gettysburg College (5-0, 0-0 conf.) 3, Penn State Mont Alto (1-5, 0-0 PSUAC) 0 25-15, 25-16, 25-17

Following a first set win by the Bullets with a score of 25-15, Penn State Mont Alto quickly regained momentum to build an early lead in set two. Penn State Mont Alto led 8-7 in the second set until Gettysburg quickly forced a Penn State Mont Alto timeout, regaining the lead at  11-8. Gettysburg would go on to take the second set by a final of 25-16. The Bullets would finish off the match by taking set three 25-17. The Bullets move to a perfect 5-0 on the season and Penn State Mont Alto falls to 1-5 with the loss, losing five straight contests.

Gracie Vaughn paced the Penn State Mont Alto attack with a team-leading six kills on 21 attempts. Kylee Gooding added five kills in the match. Leslie Huckle accounted for eight of the 14 Nittany Lion assists, Katie Sinks chipped in four assists. Brooke Denlinger led the defense with 17 digs, Gabby Baughman adding in 13. 

Kylie Ulrich led the Bullets in kills with seven on the evening. Alycen Radolovic chipped in six and Brooke Lauletta recorded five kills. Sophie Nasir (11) and Kendall Erpenbeck (10) each added double digit assists. Chelsea O'Leary led Gettysburg in digs with 20 and Callie Pidoriano recorded 13. Lauletta also had with three solo blocks and two block assists.
