SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – After trailing by 25 points at halftime, the Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team (7-4, 2-2 YSCC) stormed back to within five points in the final minutes before ultimately falling to the Lynx from NHTI (4-3, 3-2 YSCC) at The HUB on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

SMCC shot just 21.9 percent (7-32) from the field in a 19-point first half, but they flipped the script in the second half ripping off 45 points to make it a two-possession game during an electrifying stretch that featured a poster dunk from senior captain DeSean Cromwell (Biddeford, Maine).

Sophomore captain Jack Pyzynski (Saco, Maine) led the Seawolves with 26 points, seven rebounds and three assists, shooting 5-13 from long-range. Cromwell finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Sophomore captain Thomas Martinotti (Harwinton, Conn.) chipped in eight points and six rebounds.

Sean Riley paced NHTI with 17 points and five rebounds.

SMCC will be back in action on Sunday, Dec. 4 against Massasoit Community College (non-conference) at 3:00 p.m. at The HUB. WATCH
