Brandywine Slips Past Greater Allegheny 2-0

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine extended its men's soccer winning streak to nine games and remained unbeaten through 13 matches this season following a 2-0 victory at Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday afternoon.

Goals by Zack Bardwell (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) and Jayden Barragan (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) were the difference as Brandywine pushed its conference unbeaten streak to 71 matches.

Bardwell notched the match's first goal during the 25th minute. The score remained the same until midway through the second half when Barragan found the back of the net for the fifth time this fall.

The Lions limited Greater Allegheny to one shot on goal, which Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) stopped for his fifth shutout in nine appearances. DeBooth now owns a 8-0-2 record.

Brandywine outshot Greater Allegheny 23-3 and recorded its fifth conference shutout in as many games.

Brandywine (11-0-2, 5-0 PSUAC) plays for the third time in four days Sunday at Thiel College at 1:00 PM.
