SMCC Picks Up Another 3-1 Win Over Great Bay CC

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – The Seawolves (7-4) matched up with the Herons for the third time this season and collected their second 3-1 victory in as many matches, completing a regular season sweep of Great Bay CC.

The Herons set the tone early on their home court, winning set one 25-15. However, the Seawolves were able to quickly regroup and take control of the match, claiming the following three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-22 to close it out.

Sophomore Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) led SMCC in kills with eight while sophomore Katie Ewings (North Yarmouth, Maine) followed up with four kills. Sophomore Lauren Kiss (Lyman, Maine) had three kills, 22 assists and four digs and first-year Anna White (Buxton, Maine) added three kills, one assist and four digs. Sophomore Lillian Findlan (North Berwick, Maine) logged three kills, one assist and one dig. Sophomore libero Emelia Lamie (Rochester, N.H.) tallied two kills and eight digs.

Coach's Thoughts: "We've hit a solid stride over the last month or so, winning four of our last six matches. If we can keep building on this momentum and continue to better ourselves each day, we'll be in great shape heading into the YSCC playoffs." – Head Coach Garrett Lewellen
