Brandywine Secures PSUAC Regular-Season Title In Rout

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine officially wrapped up the Penn State University Athletic Conference women's soccer regular-season title and No. 1 seed in next week's PSUAC Tournament following an 11-1 victory at Penn State Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

The regular-season title is the fourth-straight for the Lions, who will also look to claim a fourth consecutive tournament championship and bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament. Brandywine has now won 33-straight PSUAC matches during the regular season.

Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) added to her USCAA-leading goal total with four scores. The quartet of goals gives her 32 for the fall as she broke her own single-season record of 30 set in 2016. Banks also moved into first place on Brandywine's all-time scoring list (men or women) with 111 goals, surpassing the mark of 109 set by Bill Walleekendeh from 2013-16.

Meltem Ozdemir (Carney's Point, N.J./St. Mark's) and Nicole Zuppo (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) both recorded two-goal games for the Lions.

Mariah Pierce (Philadelphia, Pa./Kensington Health Sciences Academy), Ilycia Perez (Dover, Del./Dover) and Cayla Pun (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) all tallied their first goals of the season.

Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) and Taniar Combs (Folcroft, Pa./Academy Park) split time in net. Bush earned her seventh win of the season and made two stops, while Combs turned aside one shot.

Brandywine (7-7, 5-0 PSUAC) will host Penn State Schuylkill for Senior Day on Saturday at 1:00 pm during the team's regular-season finale.
