New Kensington, PA - The Lions played host to Penn State Wilkes-Barre in a conference showdown this evening at the athletic field.

Sophomore Austin Arnold (Washington, PA) scored two goals in the first 14 minutes to help the Lions jump out to an early 4-0 lead. New Kensington never looked back, as they stretched the lead to 8-0 going into the half. Arnold and freshmen Ethan Hutcherson (Fairfax, VA) led all scorers with dueling hat tricks, while six other Lions netted goals in the 14-1 victory.

It was not all about the scoring, as the Lions played a selfless game, assisting on 9 of their 14 goals. Hutcherson and sophomore Jacob Guerrini (Lower Burrell, PA) led the way with two apiece.

The win improves the Lions to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference. They look to make it 9 wins in a row as they host PSU York on Saturday, October 15th at the athletic field.
