Gettysburg College 3, Penn State Mont Alto 0 (22-25, 16-25, 17-25)

Penn State Mont Alto started off the Battlefield Classic by dropping straight sets to host Gettysburg College on Friday afternoon. Gracie Vaughn tallied eight kills on 15 attack attempts to lead the Nittany Lions. Kylee Gooding finished second on the team with six kills on 24 attempts. Leslie Huckle (4), Candice Baum (3) and Kylie Denlinger (2) rounded out the kills on the offensive side. 

Kylie Denlinger recorded 15 of the 19 Penn State Mont Alto assists in the match. She also added a solo block. Candice Baum and Gracie Vaughn each added two block assists a piece. Brooke Denlinger recorded a team-high six digs in the losing effort. Gabby Baughman and Kylie Denlinger each added four digs. 

Zanze Kuba-McCoy recorded a team-high 12 kills for the opposition. Kylie Ulrich added double-digit kills with ten in the match. Kendall Erpenbeck (19) and Sophie Nasir (14) led in assists for Gettysburg College. 

Catholic University 3, Penn State Mont Alto 0 (17-25, 16-25, 17-25)

Penn State Mont Alto dropped a close three set match to Catholic University to finish Day 1 of the Battlefield Classic. Kylee Gooding finished with a team-high 13 assists to go along with 13 digs. Leslie Huckle added eight kills on 29 attempts. 

Kylie Denlinger accounted for 24 of the team's 26 assists. Brooke Denlinger (10) and Gabby Baughman (8) were the team leaders in the digs category in the second match of the day. Leslie Huckle recorded the team's only block.
