The Crusader Men Soccer Team picked up their first win of the season, winning 3-2 over the NOVA Lions. The Crusaders scored two goals in the first half, the first one by Santiago Pardo Gasque assisted by Thomas Vander Woude, the second by Mark LaRochelle assisted by a Joe Madigan header.  The Crusaders were sailing high going into half leading 2-0, but in the second half the Lions turned up the heat, scoring two unanswered goals to tie the game 2-2.  That tie was broken in the 77th min, when Brendan Clark was fouled in the Lions' box, winning a PK for the Crusaders.  Senior Thomas Vander Woude stepped up and kept his composure, burying the PK shot, and giving the Crusaders the decisive third goal.
