Men’s Soccer Faces Defeat

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – In this afternoon's men's soccer game between Penn State New Kensington and Johnson & Wales (NC), Johnson & Wales outdid New Kensington 7-0.

Johnson & Wales got themselves a good lead in the first period, scoring at 18 and 37 minutes. Directly after halftime, Johnson & Wales scored again. They then brought the score to 4-0 at the end of the 57th minute, and earned themselves three more goals later on, leading to their victory.

Goalkeeper Christopher Zolet (Pittsburgh, Pa./ North Allegheny) made 12 saves for New Kensington.

The Lions will hit the road on Wed., September 11 to play against Westmoreland County Community College. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
