MBB wins season opener

Lemont Furnace, PA - Penn State Fayette Men's Basketball wins by 50 over Westmoreland County Community College.

 

Men's Basketball had a solid home opener to the season with a win over Westmoreland County Community College last night with an ending score of 108-58.

The team was offensively led by Dasilas Jones 27 points, Xavier Boyd 17 points, and Dominic Boring 16 points. The team had a strong showing on defense due to transfer Torian Jenkins that led the team in rebounds with an astounding 16. 

Head Coach Andrew Hedrick spoke about the game, " I think we played really hard and were able to get out in transition well. We also got balanced scoring which we will need as we go throughout the season." Coach Hedricks biggest referrel is to Fayette points, the team had six players reach double digits last night during their first competition of the season.

 

Men's basketball is set to play at home Tuesday, November 8 at 7:00 P.M. against Bethany College, which will be Bethany's first match up of the year.
