The Lions continue hot streak against PSU Beaver

Beaver, PA- The Lions won their 10th straight game of the year as they traveled to PSU Beaver this evening. New Kensington got off to a hot start once again, scoring within the first five minutes on the first of sophomore Jacob Guerrini's (Lower Burrell, PA) two goals. They led 4-0 at the half and never looked back on their way to a 7-1 conference victory.

Sophomore Austin Arnold (Washington, PA), who was just awarded PSUAC and D2 USCAA player of the week, led all scorers with a hat trick on the night. Freshmen Michael Chaloupka (Lubbock, TX) and sophomore Jordan Cooper (Fairfax, VA) tallied a goal apiece to finish off the scoring, while Freshmen Ethan Hutcherson (Fairfax, VA) made his impact with two assists in the game.

 The Lions were on the prowl once again, outshooting PSU Beaver 30 shots (21 on goal) to 18 shots (14 on goal).  Freshmen goalie Andrew Haus (Cheswick, PA) had himself a stellar night, stopping 10 of the 11 shots on goal that he faced. Backup goalie, freshmen Ericson Kimbel II (Pittsburgh, PA) closed it out, saving all three shot attempts he faced.

New Kensington improves to 11-1 overall and 7-0 in the PSUAC on the season. The Lions travel to PSU Brandywine for a first-place showdown this Saturday, October 22nd with hopes to make it 11 straight.
