SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team was edged 1-0 by the Panthers from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The only score of the game came inside the 86th minute when Albany's Firaas Anis put one by SMCC's goalkeeper David Wilson (Merrimac, Mass.) on a ball from Charles Middleton. Down to 10 men, the Seawolves fell too little too late in their comeback attempt.

Albany put eight shots on target to force Wilson into seven saves.

The result pushes SMCC to 1-5-1 overall, 1-1 in conference play. Albany stands 3-2-1 overall, 2-0-1 in league action.

The action continues when the Seawolves travel to Concord, N.H. to take on the Lynx of NHTI on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
