SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to the Wolverines from Bridgton Academy in non-conference play on Monday, Sept. 12.

Bridgton's Zander Haskell landed on the scoresheet inside three minutes to give the road team the early advantage. Sam Glicos doubled the opposition's lead with a score in the 56th minute, before SMCC first-year Alberto Kissaka (Biddeford, Maine) netted his second of the season on a delivery from sophomore Laszlo Dorogi (West Boylston, Mass.) in the 59th minute.

Despite a lopsided shooting total, the Seawolves managed to keep the game in striking distance. Unable to find the equalizer, the result landed SMCC 0-3-1 overall.

First-year keeper Mohammed Turki (Portland, Maine) notched 12 saves in 90 minutes of work.

The action continues when SMCC travels to rival Central Maine Community College on Wednesday, Sept. 14 for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
