Women’s Volleyball Falls to PSU Fayette

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto women's volleyball team continued their road stretch as they traveled to Penn State Fayette on Wednesday. PSUMA fell to Fayette in three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-10 for their first conference loss of the season.

Inside the Box Score

  • Reigning PSUAC and USCAA Player of the Week Kylee Gooding (Warriors Mark, Pa. / Tyrone Area) notched 10 kills.
  • Katie Muse (Hagerstown, Md. / Boonsoboro) added 10 assists.
  • Fayette finished with a rounded attack with senior Siteri Tale leading the way with nine kills.
  • Mont Alto finished with 19 kills on 71 attempts against 11 errors. Fayette had 28 kills on 85 swings.
  • Mont Alto was never able to claw its way into the match as Fayette held the momentum throughout all three sets. The conference loss dropped them to 9-3 and 4-1 within the PSUAC.

The NIttnay Lions return to action tomorrow in a non-conference matchup with nearby Wilson College. The home match will be played at 7:30 p.m. in the Heiges Field House at Shippensburg University.
