Warriors Battle Hard Against Berkeley NJ Knights

WOODLAND PARK, N.J. - On Friday, September 23, the men's soccer team traveled to New Jersey to square-off against the Berkeley (NJ) Knights. The Warriors were once again outmanned in the match for various reasons. It was a hard fought game but in the end the Warriors would be blanked by Knights 0-7. 

The Knights started off the game playing with extreme pace. They pressured the ball and forced the Warriors to play a defensive first half. Vaughn's defense was led by senior goalkeeper, John Vizhnay (Jackson Heights, NY). Vizhnay recorded 5 saves in the half and limited the Knight's goal opportunities.The Warriors depleted defensive back core made it difficult for Vizhnay to control the game.

The second half tested the Warriors' endurance. The men's soccer team competed valiantly nicked and banged up. Despite the tough loss, the Warriors showed great signs of potential.
