Seawolves Concede Late, Suffer Defeat To Bryant & Stratton

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Div. 1 opponent Bryant and Stratton College- Albany on Saturday, Oct. 8.

First-year Griffin Anderson (Waterville, Maine) scored his second of the year to put the home team on top at the 62:55 mark. Bryant and Stratton equalized near a minute later and then found the back of the net with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation to walk away with the 2-1 victory.

First-year goalkeeper Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) notched five saves in 90 minutes of work.

The result moves SMCC to 2-7-2 overall.

The Seawolves return to Wainwright on Monday, Oct. 10 to host the Bay Hawks from Bristol Community College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
