POTTERSVILLE, N.Y. - The Warriors traveled to Word of Life Bible Institute on Saturday, September 17. Unfortunately for the Warriors only 11 players were able to make the trip for their first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) match of the season. The Warriors hosted the Huskies for their season opener in 2021-22. The game ended in a 2-2 tie. 

The Huskies started off the game playing with great pace and aggression. The Warriors struggled to match the Huskies' intensity. At the half the Warriors trailed the Huskies 0-3.

Injuries and conditioning would hurt the Warriors in the second half. The Huskies continued to attack an undermanned Warriors' team. The Warriors would go on to lose their first HVIAC contest to the Huskies by a huge margin.

The loss drops the Warriors' record to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in the HVIAC. The men's soccer team will have some time to  get healthy and prepare for a tough two-game stretch coming up.
