USCAA Players of the Week

Newport News, VA. - The USCAA wants to congratulate and celebrate its student athletes’ accomplishments. We are proud to announce the following Players of the Week for the week of December 29th- January 4th.

Newport News, VA. - The USCAA wants to congratulate and celebrate its student athletes' accomplishments.  We are proud to announce the following Players of the Week for the week of December 29th- January 4th.

 

Men's Basketball (Divison I)

  • - Player of the Week- Chad O'Brian, Spalding, G, Sr., Louisville, KY- O'Brian posted 19 points and grabbed five boards to lead his team. The Golden Eagles' senior shot 7-for-10 from the field and 5-for-7 from behind the arch.

 

Men's Basketball (Division II)

  • - Player of the Week- Zac Fetchin, PSU-Beaver, F, Jr., Aliquippa, PA- Fetchin posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He added three assists as he lead his squad to a victory over PSUAC and USCAA opponent PSU-Fayette.

 

Women's Basketball

  • - Co-Player of the Week- Sharon Houston, Indiana Univeristy-Northwest, F, Fr., Merrillville, IN- Houston fell three block shy of a triple-double as she led the Lady Red Hawks with 32 points and 25 rebounds. The freshman forward also played all 40 minutes for her squad.

 

  • -Co-Player of the Week- Tanesha Parker, Robert Morris-Springfield C, Fr., Belleville, IL- Parker led her team to a championship in the Huntingdon Holiday Classic.  She posted a double-double in both games.  In the first contest she scored 17 points and pulled down 24 rebounds.  She followed that effort with a 13 point and 18 rebound performance in the championship game.
