Nikki Velez of Penn State Brandywine is the USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. The senior guard led Brandywine to three conference victories last weeks as the PSUAC’s leading scorer. Velez shot nearly 45% from the field and knocked down 17-of-30 three-pointers, while making 14-of-16 free throws. She set a career high with 30 points in a win at Penn State Scranton. She then matched a career-best with 7 three-pointers in a 24-point effort versus Penn State Greater Allegheny.
