Bench Lifts Bobcats past Cazenovia College
Back-to-back double doubles for Shanell Glover has kept Bryant & Stratton on their winning ways as the Bobcats topped Cazenovia College 73-57 on Sunday.
While Glover and Dorian Sharp were once again Bryant & Stratton’s key offensive players, coach Sean Knorr noted that it was BSC’s bench that came in clutch in securing the win over the Wildcats.
After seeing his bench hold a first half lead, Knorr went back to the group with his team in foul trouble in the second half. Though, even with a short bench, the Bocbats were never truly threatened by Cazenovia.
BSC opened up a 14-point advantage in the first half alone and continued to build on the lead as the second half wore on. They held the 14-point advantage at the end of the third quarter and eventually tacked a few more on before the final buzzer.
Sharp led all Bobcats in scoring with 21 points and Glover was just one point behind her while also pulling down 13 rebounds. Kadihah Jones finished with 15 points. The win pushed the Bobcats record to 7-3 and they’ll be looking to push higher in the USCAA rankings as this road trip continues against Bryant & Stratton – Albany on Wednesday.
