Payton Dean of SUNY Delhi has been named USCAA Men’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week. Over the opening seven games of the Broncos’ season, Dean has averaged 10.3 points and over 8.5 rebounds per game. Last week the sophomore had two double-doubles against USCAA members Stratford University and Berkeley College-NY scoring 18 points in each contest. Dean led the Broncos with 24 rebounds, 11 offensive boards, in an 88-84 victory over the Knights from Berkeley College. Delhi’s victory snapped a 56 game-winning streak by the three-time USCAA Men’s Division II National Champions. After a 0-4 start to the season, SUNY Delhi is has now won three straight.
