Kent Hegarty of Florida College has been named USCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Player of the Week. The sophomore from Temple Terrace, Florida leads the team in scoring this season and has scored double digits points in every contest. In the Florida College Falcons lone game over the holiday break against the 25th ranked team in NAIA Men’s Division II, Warner College, Hegarty scored the game-winning basket from behind the arc with 14 seconds remaining. He finished the contest with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the 76-73 victory.
