Kamiah Gilbert of Mid-Atlantic Christian University has earned the USCAA Women’s Division II Basketball Player of the Week honor. Gilbert led the team in scoring Friday against Trinity Washington University (NCAA DIII) in a close 10 point loss, and led the team with 25 points Saturday to help the Mustangs clinch their first win of the season, a 53-45 win over USCAA rival Christendom. In that game Gilbert scored the Mustangs final five points including 3-4 from the FT line as well as registering a steal with 20 seconds to go. For the weekend, Gilbert tallied 10 assists and seven steals while shooting 46.7% from beyond the three point line.
