Putney, VT—The Huskies came into this game needing to turn things around and get a win before a couple of important conference games. They came out fast and quickly built a double-digit lead early in the first half against the Sharks from Landmark College. The second half continued to go the Huskies' way, as they picked up an important win to build momentum going into the weekend.
Points in the paint were a major factor in the Huskies' success, as they took advantage of finding easy baskets. The Huskies scored 64 of their 92 points in the paint and also shared the ball, tallying 26 assists throughout the game.
The Huskies saw production from their entire team as everyone scored throughout the game and shot 57.1% from the field. Freshman Michael Weyand led the Huskies with 12 points off the bench, followed by Javion Glenn and Logan Hoskins who both added 11 points. Justin Cade from Landmark College led all scorers with 32 points.
The Huskies will travel on Saturday to take on the NHTI Lynx at 2 pm.
