MANOR COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER SETS SCHOOL-USCAA RECORD IN GOALS VERSUS HARRISBURG AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

JENKINTOWN, PA—United Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Manor College (3-1-0) scored a school-USCAA record 13 first half goals en route to setting a school-USCAA record 18 as the Blue Jays defeated the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Division III Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks (0-3-0), 18-1.  

The Blue Jays previously played the Hawks on September 28, 2019 and won, 1-0, at Manor when they were NJCAA Region XIX Division I members. 

Manor began the scoring early when freshman midfielder Jallah Murvee's (Philadelphia, PA) corner kick went to sophomore midfielder Emylens Bellevue (Philadelphia, PA/Martin Luther King) around the 18-yard line.  Bellevue's shot went into the middle of the net for his second goal of the season (1:10).  Freshman forward Briyans Jeoboham's (Orlando, FL) pass around the 18 went to Bellevue.  Bellevue's shot went into the right side of the net for his second goal of the match and third of the season (6:10).  Bellevue's pass went to Jeoboham inside the 18.  Jeoboham's shot went into the middle of the net for his first collegiate goal (8:10).   Sophomore midfielder Adan Crispin-Morales' (Norristown, PA/Norristown) pass outside of the 18 went to Jeoboham.  Jeoboham's shot went into the lower right-corner of the net for his second goal of the match (9:05) and first collegiate multi-goal match.  Junior midfielder Shiube Larabi (Philadelphia, PA/Science Leadership Academy) scored an unassisted goal (13:40).  It was his second straight match with a goal and second of the season.  Senior defenseman Maximo Chavez (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) scored an unassisted goal when his shot from around the 18 went into the lower right-hand corner of the net for his second goal of the season (18:20).  Larabi's pass inside the 18 went to Crispin-Morales. Crispin-Morales' shot went into the right-hand corner of the net for his third goal of the season (20:50).  Freshman defenseman Zulkefal Shakir's (Upper Darby, PA) pass inside the 18 went to junior midfielder Kounda Doucoure (Philadelphia, PA/Benjamin Franklin).  Doucoure's shot went into the left hand corner of the net for his third goal of the season (24:10).  Chavez' pass inside the 18 went to Crispin-Morales.  Crispin-Morales' shot went into the left-hand corner of the net for his second goal of the match and third of the season (25:30).  It is also Crispin-Morales' first collegiate mult-goal match.  Chavez' outside of the 18 went to junior defenseman George McDermott (Philadelphia, PA).  McDermott's shot went into the right-hand corner of the net for his first collegiate goal (31:35).   Junior defenseman Mamadou Ba's (Philadelphia, PA/Franklin Learning Center) pass inside the 18 went to sophomore defenseman Lucas Dolchanczyk (Philadelphia, PA/Franklin Towne Charter).  Dolchanczyk's shot went into the right-hand corner of the net for his first collegiate goal (34:46).  It was also Ba's first collegiate point.  Sophomore defenseman Zakhir Brewster's (Philadelphia, PA/Roman Catholic) pass inside the 18 went to Ba.  Ba's shot went into the left-hand corner of the net for his first collegiate goal (39:43).  The Blue Jays finished its first-half scoring when junior defenseman Aiden Tiblier's (New Orleans, LA/New Orleans Military Academy) pass went to Brewster around the 18.  Brewster's shot into the left-hand corner of the net (40:40).  It was Tiblier's first collegiate point.  Manor led at halftime, 13-0. Manor outshot Harrisburg, 26 (19 on goal) to one (none on goal).  The 13 goals scored in the first half are the most since they scored seven in the second half versus the NJCAA Region XIX Division III Delaware County County Community College on September 19, 2019.  This is the most first half goals they scored since registering nine versus the Hawks on September 28, 2013.  The 26 overall shots are the most since had 31 versus NJCAA Region XIX Division III Lehigh Carbon Community College on October 22, 2022 (8-1 win at Manor). The 19 first half shots on goal since they registered 17 versus USCAA Division II Pennsylvania State University-Hazleton on September 12, 2022.

Crispin-Morales' punt went to Dolchanczyk around the 18.  Dolchanczyk passed it to sophomore Rafael Sobiac (Philadelphia, PA/Samuel Fels).  Sobiac's shot went into the middle of the middle of the net for his first collegiate goal (50:05).  The Blue Jays scored when its corner kick went off of a Hawks player and into the net (54:54).  Harrisburg scored its goal when freshman Joel Efekele's pass went to freshman Beaudelson Elisme around the 18.  Elisme's shot went into the right side of the net for his third goal of the season (68:10).   Dolchanczyk's pass went to junior Aiden Holman (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton) inside the 18.  Holman's shot went into the middle of the net for his first collegiate goal (69:10).  Tiblier's pass went inside the 18 to Dolchanczyk.  Dolchanczyk's shot into the middle of the net for his first collegiate goal (72:55). It was also Tiblier's second assist of the match and his first collegiate multi-assist match.  The Blue Jays finished its scoring when Crispin-Morales came out from his goalkeeper position to pass the ball to Tiblier inside the 18.  Tiblier's shot went into the middle of the net for his first collegiate goal (85:12).  This was also Crispin-Morales' third assist of the match and his second as a goalkeeper.  Manor outshot Harrisburg in the second half, 19 (14 on goal) to six (three on goal).  The Blue Jays outshot the Hawks for the match, 45 (33 on goal) to 6 (three on goal).  The 45 shots overall and 33 on goal are the most since they had 53 and 31, respectively, versus Lehigh Carbon Community College on October 22, 2022.

18-Goal Facts (Part One): The 18 goals scored by Manor are the most by any USCAA Division I Men's Soccer team this season and the most since Bryant and Stratton-Rochester scored 13 versus USCAA Division II Pennsylvania State University-Beaver on October 11, 2023.  The Blue Jays' 18 goals at home are the most scored at home by a USCAA Division I school since Shaw University scored 12 versus National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division II Carolina Christian College on September 22, 2023 and Bryant and Stratton College-Rochester scored 12 versus Bryant and Stratton College-Albany on September 6, 2023. 

18-Goal Facts (Part Two): The 18 goals scored overall and at home by the Blue Jays are the most since they scored 10 versus NJCAA Division III Lehigh Carbon Community College on October 8, 2016.  

18-Goal Facts (Part Three):  Manor's 18 goals versus Harrisburg are the most in this season series since they scored 17 versus the Hawks on September 28, 2013 (17-0 win).

Margin of Victory Facts (Part One): The 17-goal margin of victory overall and at home is the most by a USCAA Division I school since D'Youville University won by 16 versus then-USCAA Division II Villa Maria College on September 8, 2021 (17-1).

Margin of Victory Facts (Part Two): The 17-goal margin of victory overall is the most by Manor since they won 12-0 at Lehigh Carbon on September 19, 2015.

Margin of Victory Facts (Part Three): The 17-goal margin of victory at home is largest by Manor since they won 17-0 versus Harrisburg on September 28, 2013.

Manor Multi-Goal Matches (Date): Bellevue (September 12), Chavez (September 12), Doucoure (September 12), Jeoboham (September 12), Crispin-Morales (September 12), and Moussa Cherif (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) (August 27).

Manor Multi-Assist Matches (Date):  Crispin-Morales (September 12), Dolchanczyk (September 12), Tibiler (September 12), and Cherif (September 7).

Manor at Home (Since 2021): Manor is 15-7-1 at home since the 2021 season.

Blue Jays versus the NJCAA (Since 2021): The Blue Jays are 5-5-0 overall (5-1-0 at home) versus NJCAA schools since 2021.  

Series Record (Since 2021): This is the first match-up between the two schools since Manor joined the USCAA for the 2021 season.  Between the 2012 and 2019 seasons, Manor led the series 8-0-0 overall (4-0-0 at home).

Next Match: The Blue Jays travel to play NJCAA Region XX Division II and Maryland JUCO member Cecil College (1-2-0 as of September 12) on Thursday, September 19 at 4 p.m. in North East, Maryland.  Manor won the previous match-up versus Cecil, 3-2, on October 13, 2023 at Manor.  The Blue Jays lost in its previous visit to the Seahawks, 2-1, on October 15, 2022.  Manor is 1-1-0 overall (0-1-0 on the road) since the 2021 season.
