BROCKTON, Mass. – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team came up short, 2-1, against the Warriors of Massasoit Community College on Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Warriors struck first, finding the back of the net in the first half and would maintain a lead going into the break.

In the second half, the Seawolves evened the score when junior Louis Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) landed a shot off an assist from rookie Jeannot Ndayishimiye (Portland, Maine). The Warriors claimed victory converting on a penalty kick near the end of regulation.

The Seawolves goalkeeper Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) totaled seven saves.

The result moves SMCC to 5-6 on the season.

The men are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they return home to face Hampshire College. Kickoff at Wainwright Sports Complex is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
