Seawolves smother Moose in regular season finale

AUGUSTA, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team defeated the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) 10-0 in their final regular season game on Saturday, Oct. 19. 

First-year Chandrel Laza (Westbrook, Maine) collected three goals, completing a hat trick for the first time this season. Sophomore Tim Eulenberger (Iffezheim, Germany) would find the back of the net in the 29th and 54th minute. The brother duo of Jil-Emmanuel Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) and Louis Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) would take advantage of scoring opportunities in the contest as well.

Sophomore Ibrahim Mwamba (Brunswick, Maine) and first-year Kaden Pillsbury (Strong, Maine) added to the scoring frenzy; and rookie Jacob Owen (Winslow, Maine) found the first of his career helping secure a double digit victory. 

SMCC would rack up an impressive 52 shots, with 28 landing on target. The Moose tallied just five shots.

The Seawolves finish the regular season with an overall record of 8-7 and 6-3 in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play.
