Seawolves win on senior day

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team became victorious, 8-0, against USCAA Div. 1 Bay Path University at Wainwright Sports Complex on Saturday, Oct. 5. 

The Seawolves would be led by junior captain Jordyn Hulsey (South Portland, Maine) who collected three goals, completing a hat trick on senior day. Sophomore captain Samantha Duffy (South Portland, Maine) would find the back of the net for the first time this season.

Freshman Ellie Schlichting (New Gloucester, Maine) and sophomore Jocelyn Civiello (Sanford, Maine) both landed their third goals of the season. Sophomore Talia Bradbury (South Portland, Maine) and rookie Marissa Hill (Portland, Maine) both increased their goal count to two on the season, securing a 8-0 victory for the Seawolves. 

The Lady Seawolves had an impressive total of 45 shots, 18 on target. 

The Bay Path goalie Seralyn Lendroth made a total of 10 saves; the Seawolves' goalkeeper Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) accumulated two saves. 

SMCC moves to 5-3-2 overall.

The Lady Seawolves are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 13 when they travel to compete against Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Vermont State University at Randolph. Kickoff in Vermont is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
