
Penn State Mont Alto 74, Penn State Wilkes-Barre 52
Mont Alto, Pa- Mont Alto Men's basketball team went up against Penn State Wilkes-Barre for a PSUAC quarterfinal matchup. A strong team performance led Mont Alto to the victory over Wilkes-Barre 74-52, Mont Alto advances to the PSUAC semifinals against PSU Schuylkill at 7pm Thursday.
How it Happened
-Mont Alto would come out shooting well, scoring nine unanswered points making the score 13-4 with 15 minutes remaining. Wilkes-Barre would come right back and score seven unanswered points, making the score 13-11 in favor of Mont Alto.
-With four minutes remaining, two free throws from Bryson Fleming gave Mont Alto a 10-point lead. Mont Alto would go into halftime with a 16-point lead with Bryson Fleming scoring 12 in the half.
-In the second half Mont Alto's defense stood strong as they would keep the lead for the entirety of the half.
-A strong 16-point performance from Tevin Venson and a 12-point, 9 assist, performance from Bryson Fleming led Mont Alto to the win over Wilkes-Barre 74-52.
