Monaca, PA- The Lady Lions were fired up for Senior day! In a day when the athletic department recognized Maria Matts and Alexis Reid for the amazing four years they gave the program, the team rewarded everyone with their best game this year!
Beaver won by the socres of 25-15, 25-17, and 25-11.
Beaver was led by second year player Sofia Perez (Botoga, Columbia) with 13 kills and 11 digs. 1st year Julianna Butler (Franklin, PA) had 9 kills and 3 blocks. 3rd year setter Courtney Simpkins (Palm Bay, FL) had 25 assists and 9 digs. Reid had 2 kills and a block and Matts had 5 kills and led the team with 13 digs.
Up next for Beaver, they will host La Roche College in a non-conference match up on Monday, October 7th at 7PM in the Beaver fieldhouse. They then return to PSUAC play on the road on Thursday, when they travel to Penn State Fayette.
