MCKEESPORT, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Soccer fell to PSUAC opponent Penn State Greater Allegheny, 8-1.
Greater Allegheny quickly took control, scoring four goals within the first 12 minutes of play. Michael Merianos (North Wales, PA / Wissahickon) put Schuylkill on the board with a goal in the 30th minute. However, two more goals by Greater Allegheny extended their lead to 6-1 going into halftime.
In the second half, Greater Allegheny added two more goals while keeping Schuylkill scoreless. Six different players from Greater Allegheny found the back of the net, with Max Whitson leading the charge with three. Allegheny also won the shot count, outshooting Schuylkill 30-10.
Schuylkill (1-8 overall, 1-4 PSUAC) will host Hagerstown Community College on Tuesday, October 8th for their next matchup.
