AUBURN, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team fell to #1 Central Maine Community College (CMCC), 4-2, in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) semifinal matchup on Saturday Nov. 2.

The Seawolves would get on the scoreboard quickly in the 5th minute when sophomore Tim Eulenberger (Iffezheim, Germany) netted a goal off an assist from junior Louis Sehr (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire). The Mustangs answered in the 12th minute, when Mikel Soto capitalized off a delivery from Mitch Cameron. CMCC would capture two more scoring opportunities before the half, courtesy of Ivan Dominques and Stephen Samba, to give the Mustangs a 3-1 lead going into the break.

The Seawolves sparked what looked like a comeback in the early goings of the second half when captain William Perry (Gorham, Maine) cut his team's deficit in half. Almost 30 minutes would go by before Domingues would secure his second goal of the game, solidifying a 4-2 victory for the Mustangs.

CMCC's goalkeeper Cody Cleaveland, made a total of four saves; SMCC's goalkeeper Ian Allen (Avon, Maine) tallied two.

The Seawolves and the Mustangs would both have a total of six shots that landed on target, but the Mustangs ability to maximize their offensive opportunities lead them to become victorious.

CMCC went on to be crowned conference champions; SMCC concluded its season at 9-8 overall.
