The Penn State Shenango Baseball team returned from their spring trip to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC, with a comprehensive evaluation of their early-season form. The trip commenced with a 5-3 loss to Geneva. Despite an even hit count, Geneva proved more adept at converting those hits into runs. For Shenango, Logan Cypher's performance offered a glimpse of his offensive potential, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double. Nick Osborne and Nate Evans shared the pitching responsibilities, accumulating valuable innings against a live opponent.

Game two against Lake Michigan resulted in a 9-3 defeat. Offensively, Tyler Evans provided a positive spark with a double. The pitching staff saw multiple arms take the mound, providing opportunities for evaluation and adaptation.
