In a tightly contested conference battle, Penn State Schuylkill secured an 80-75 win over Penn State Hazleton on Tuesday night, improving to 13-8 overall and 10-2 in PSUAC play.
The game featured 14 lead changes and eight ties, with Schuylkill using a late push to claim the win. Issac Lane led the charge with a dominant double-double, tallying 29 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 12-for-20 from the field. Makhi Jones and Dashawn Dixon each contributed 13 points, while Antwuan Byrd added 11 points and four assists. Schuylkill's defense was key down the stretch, forcing 16 Hazleton turnovers and converting them into 22 points.
Hazleton's Andre Campbell kept his team in the game with 28 points and six rebounds, but Schuylkill's efficient free-throw shooting (79.2%) and clutch defensive plays proved to be the difference.
