Men's Soccer Defeated by Penn State Scranton

DUNMORE, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Soccer fell to PSUAC opponent Penn State Scranton on Saturday, 10-2.

Scranton set the pace early in the match, netting two quick goals at the 6:48 and 8:36 marks. They took control of the game, scoring four goals in a ten-minute span midway through the first half. Scranton closed out the first period with 20 shot attempts.

Schuylkill came out of halftime with renewed energy, determined to turn the tide. This was evident when Isaac Smith (Apo, Germany / Wiesbaden) scored just 1:11 into the second period. Unwilling to surrender momentum, Scranton responded with two shots before scoring their first goal of the half at the 50:19 mark.

Schuylkill's final goal of the match came at the 58:50 mark, with Jake Moser (Pottstown, PA / Pottstown) finding the back of the net. Scranton went on to score three additional goals before the end of regulation.

Schuylkill (0-6 overall, 0-2 PSUAC) will remain in conference play for their next meeting as they host Penn State Hazleton on Tuesday, October 1.
